Choosing a Major/Career:
What Should I Do With My Life? In this interactive seminar,
your students will have the opportunity to participate in a
variety of self-exploration activities and brief assessments
to explore career interests and options as well as learn about
academic majors, the world of work, and the job search process.

Interviewing Strategies:
Tell Me About Yourself? This highly interactive seminar will
give your students an opportunity to learn cutting-edge interviewing
strategies to answer vague questions like this one. Students will be
able to practice their interviewing skills in small groups. |
CRC Orientation:
Where on Earth is the CRC? If your students have never set foot in the CRC,
you may want to consider bringing them for a brief orientation of our facilities
and services. This seminar is ideal for first year students who may need to learn
about this important resource on campus.

Job Offer and Salary Negotiation:
Learn how to effectively evaluate a job offer and learn about the process
of negotiating salary. Program highlights include considering the total
package, juggling multiple job offers, identifying salary ranges and
ethical considerations.

Curriculum Vitae Preparation (for Graduate Students):
Applying for a faculty position? This seminar details the important elements
of Curriculum Vitas for graduate students seeking post doctoral or faculty
positions (used only in academic and research settings).

Job/Internship Search Strategies:
Not just for Seniors! If your students are in the process of searching for
internships and full-time positions, this seminar is for them. They will
learn about a variety of effective strategies to successfully navigate the
job search process.

Dinning Etiquette:
Too many spoons and forks! Employers often invite candidates
to dinner or lunch during the interviewing process and the
experience can be overwhelming. Your students will have the
ability to learn proper etiquette during a Business lunch or
dinner. Hosting the seminar at a restaurant is highly encouraged!

Navigating Career Showcase:
Career Showcase can be intimidating to first-time attendees and your
students could benefit from an orientation seminar to help them learn
the secrets of making the most of their experience at the event. Tips
of how to prepare for the event will be shared. |
Dress for Success:
No Jean and Flip-Flops! First impressions can make or break
the candidate’s experience. This workshop will share the Dos
and Don’ts of looking the part during the job interview or career fair.

Personal Statement Preparation (for Juniors and Seniors):
Not sure what to write about or how personal you can get in
your statement? This seminar will help your students learn
the guidelines for writing a personal statement as well as
brainstorm ideas for topics to highlight in the statement.

Resume/Cover Letter Preparation:
Help, my Resume needs a makeover! This seminar is essential for
all college students. Whether they are freshmen or graduate students,
they need to know what employers are looking for when they review
resumes and cover letter. Your students will leave with the proper
steps to building a winning resume and cover letter. |
