Career Showcase Registration

Identifying prospective hires is an ongoing challenge. The following is a list of ways to promote your campus visits and employment opportunities through a variety of short-term and long-term mediums. These promotions will educate potential candidates about your organization, the opportunities you provide, and create interest and awareness so that more candidates seek positions with you.

Activities

Career Exploration Community
Housed in UF’s residence halls, this program assists students in making decisions about their career paths and learning the skills necessary to become to successful professionals. Support this unique community by volunteering to act as a panelist, presenter, or contact for students’ information interviews.

Connect With Student Organizations
Communicate directly with student organizations on campus – find the contact(s) for student organizations today at http://www.union.ufl.edu/involvement/.

Employer Resume Critique
Assist students in their job search preparation by doing resume critiques before a career fair.

Employer Workshops And Panels
Share knowledge and your perspective as an employer/recruiter on a variety of topics ranging from your details about your industry to how to write a resume.

Externships
Serve as a host for job shadowing so that students have the opportunity to explore your field, what you do, and what they need to learn to be an excellent professional, plus you may even identify potential interns for your organization. Get more info or sign up to be a host here.

Internship Roundtables

Mentoring – Gator Launch
Assist a minority student with his/her career development and decision making by providing your experience, advise, and expertise.

Mock Interviews
Serve as an interviewer and then provide feedback about students’ interviewing skills during practice interviews.
