Overview
This course will provide Juniors and Seniors with the necessary tools for their job search. Includes topics such as interviewing, résumés, & transition to professional life.
Course Objectives

Students may expect to:
  • Identify individual personality characteristics and their impact on career satisfaction and success.
  • Explore different career options for a chosen major.
  • Learn about resources and information that can be utilized in the job search process.
  • Develop a résumé & other job correspondence
  • Explore successful interview techniques.
  • Prepare for the transition from student life to professional life.
  • Develop decision-making skills and a plan for reaching self-determined goals.
  • Learn basic job search skills and strategies.
Expectations
  • HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!
  • In order to experience and enjoy the benefits from this course, you will need to invest time and effort!
  • This is NOT a lecture class- you are strongly encouraged to participate in class discussions.
  • It is expected you will arrive on time and stay until class is over.
  • Although this course appears to be a lot of work, you can expect to learn a great deal about yourself and the world of work. Plus, you should have some fun throughout the process!
