  1. Register with the Co-op Program
Request an Employer Co-op Packet from the Co-op Office (contact information below), which includes an Employer Information Sheet, an Academic Calendar, and the Cooperative Education Guidelines.

  2. Determine Your Co-op Needs
Identify the positions and academic disciplines you require. Obtain additional information on academic majors through the Co-op Office as needed. At the end of each semester you will receive an Employer Information Sheet to list your upcoming needs for Co-op students.

  3. Prepare Job Descriptions
The Co-op Program requires job descriptions for each academic major requested. These are reviewed by Faculty Co-op Coordinators in appropriate departments to ensure that the duties are academically and major related.

  4. Gather Company Literature
We encourage students to review information/literature to familiarize themselves with companies in preparation for interviews (i.e. annual reports, recruiting literature, videotapes, etc.).

  5. Submit Completed Information to the Co-op Office
    • Completed Employer Information Sheet.
    • Job description(s) for each Co-op position you are recruiting for.
    • Read and sign the Cooperative Education Guidelines sheet.
    • Company literature/information to be placed in Co-op company file and the CRC Library.

  6. Choose Your Recruiting Strategies
Position Listing: Co-op positions will be automatically listed in the online Co-op Database for students to view.
    On-Campus Interviewing:
    • Call to set up a date for the visit (rooms are limited - apply early).
Career Showcase: Held in September and January of each year. Contact CRC Event Staff at (352)392-1601 ext. 219 or register online.

  7. Make Campus Connections with Key Populations
    • Students: Schedule an Information Session the evening before your on-campus recruitment visit to inform students about your company and begin screening candidates.
    • Student Organizations
    • Faculty

  8. Maintain Contact with the Co-op Office
Check in periodically with the Co-op Office to ensure that everything is going well regarding your Co-op recruitment strategies. Please notify us if UF Co-op students are selected for positions within your organization.

Costs
There is no fee for listing and interviewing for your positions.
