Overview
Why interview on campus?
On-Campus recruiting allows employers to connect
with a large and diverse student population at the University
of Florida. It also gives employers the opportunity to
personally meet with faculty and staff. This contact allows
early candidate identification and increases company visibility.
Arrange on-Campus dates early
On-campus dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served
basis. Contacting the CRC early (prior to the start of
the Fall semester) is recommended if employers wish to
have the best chance of securing their desired recruiting
dates.
The CRC MAY contact organizations
Sometimes the CRC will contact organizations to determine
their recruiting plans. Usually an employer's recruiting
needs and schedules are similar year to year. Therefore,
the CRC calls employers who have recruited the year before
to establish plans for the coming year. Companies need
not wait for the CRC to call them - they are encouraged
to call the CRC at their earliest convenience.
Student
Participation in Gator CareerLink
Participation in Gator CareerLink insures that the CRC
has the student information necessary to facilitate the
interaction between students and employers. STUDENTS
MUST PARTICIPATE IN GATOR CAREERLINK TO PARTICIPATE IN
ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS. Students participating in Gator
CareerLink have supplied critical demographic and resume
information . If an employer receives questions from a
student regarding this matter, it is recommended that
employers direct the student to the CRC's Front desk.
Students may sign-up at the front desk in the Career Resource
Center, Room CR119, J. Wayne Reitz Union, during normal
business hours.
