The Career Resource Center is committed to helping students gain relevant and professional, major-related and career-related experience primarily through three programs: the Cooperative Education, the Internships, and the Externships.  If you have questions about these programs, feel free to stop by the CRC where our professional staff and students will assist you (8:00 AM - 4:45 PM, M-F).

Education
Internships
  • Structured and supervised academic work program lasting for multiple semesters
  • Career-related work experiences that usually last one semester but may last longer
  • A career shadowing experience lasting from a few hours to one week
  • Earn one credit hour for each term worked (Engineering students through departments; other majors through CRC)
  • Students may choose to receive academic credit.

  • Always paid
  • May be paid or unpaid
  • Unpaid
  • Students who have completed 30 semester hours prior to their first work assignment are eligible to participate in Cooperative Education
  • All students are eligible to participate in the Internship Program, although some companies may have their own requirements
  • Great option for students of any academic year who are unsure of their major or career goals
