| Exploring
the resume templates
There are several resume templates provided for you.
These templates were created to give students various
looks at different resumes and some of the general information
in which a resume should have. Some resumes are entitled
to be major specific, however, the format of all templates
can be used for any major(s).
We suggest that you explore each template to see which
style best suits you. If you are a person who has problems
keeping your resume down to one page, view the "High
Active" resume template. This template may help
you get the most out of your resume while keeping it
down to one page. There is also an example of a Bad
Resume included with these templates. After reviewing
some of the key aspects in writing a resume, print the
Bad Resume and make any corrections you find appropriate.
There is an example of the correct resume included with
and explanation for each mistake. Please take the time
to complete the Bad Resume activity as it will teach
you some common mistakes and how to correct them.
These templates are presented in two formats: Microsoft
Word and Adobe Acrobat. You will need the Acrobat
Reader 7.0 to view the PDF files.
