Why Gator CareerLink?
Gator CareerLink (GCL) is an online career portal with a variety of features. Through the system you can search various job databases, apply for jobs, sign up for on-campus interviews, make connections with University of Florida Alumni, and much more. Gator CareerLink houses national and international internship, co-op, part and full-time opportunities.
On-Campus Interviewing
Job Postings for On-Campus Interviews is the most popular service in GCL. These jobs are posted by organizations that send representatives to UF to interview students and alumni in the Career Resource Center. Many of these organizations attend Career Showcase and use GCL to collect resumes and schedule interviews.
Employer Information Sessions
Learn about organizations that recruit at UF and network with potential employers at Employer Information Sessions. These free events are open to students in all majors and classifications. Bring your resume. Business causal attire is recommended.
CRC Events
Get up-to-date information about on-campus recruiting activities and educational events that can help you explore career options, prepare for graduate or professional school and start your internship or job search.
Employer Mock Interviews
Practice describing your skills and achievements to actual recruiters. Employer Mock Interviews are held close to Career Showcase. They are a great opportunity for you to get feedback from the same people you may end up having real interviews with. Invitations to schedule an Employer Mock Interviews are sent through GCL. If you don’t have an account you’re missing out.
Resume Storage
You must have a resume uploaded in GCL to access to job postings, sign up for and other features on GCL. Some organizations request additional documents like cover letters, unofficial transcripts and writing samples, this information will be found on the page of the job posting. You can upload up to ten documents in order to cater each to the different positions you apply to.
The CRC offers resume and cover letters critiques, Monday-Friday from 11a.m. – 3 p.m. in the CRC library.
Career Connections
Career Connections is an on-line mentoring and networking feature in GCL to find an alumnus or friend of UF who works in the company or industry you are interested in.
How to Get Started
To set up a Gator Careerlink account, click on “New User Registration” on the CRC homepage and finish the registration process by uploading your resume. If you would like a tutorial of GCL or need assistance setting up your account, visit the Career Resource Center.
