Fall Career Showcase
Career Showcase is a two-day fair hosted each fall and spring. Representatives from technical and non-technical industries seeking candidates of all majors and classifications for internships, cooperative education or full-time positions can register to participate.

Which Day(s) to Attend
Organizations are not limited to attending one day; the industry focus for each day is designed to help you best target the students you are seeking.
Day 1, September, 29, 2009: Non-Technical
Full-time, co-op, and internship opportunities in non-technical fields will be featured on Day 1.
Accounting, banking, consulting, government, human services, management, retail, sales, and other fields without a scientific or technical focus are included in this group.
Day 2, September 30, 2009: Technical
Full-time, co-op, and internship opportunities in technical fields will be featured on Day 2.
Computer science, construction, engineering, information systems/technology, scientific research, and other fields with a technical or scientific focus are included in this group.
Pre-Registration: September 1, 2009
The Pre-Registration deadline is Sept. 1, 2009, for this event. Pre-registration before Sept. 1, will guarantee inclusion in the event day publication.

Included with each registration package:
• 1 table (8’ x 30”), 2 chairs
• 4 representatives (up to 2 additional representatives may attend for an additional $50 each equaling a total of six. For additional representatives, additional table space must be purchased. A maximum of 6 representatives are permitted at each table.)

• Electricity (you need to supply a 10' extension cord)
• Wireless network access (you provide all hardware, we provide password for access)
• Company information included in event publication (if registered by the pre-registration deadline -- see deadline listed above)

How to Pay
On the registration form (Step 4), select your payment type as credit card or check. You will view a copy of your invoice upon completion of your registration, as well as receive another copy via email. Use either copy to process any paperwork needed for your organization.
Your payment options are:
Credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express). Credit cards are not processed immediately; once our staff processes your credit card you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment.

Check. Make payable to "Univ. of Florida Career Resource Center " (TAX ID# 59-6002052). Please include a printed copy of your invoice -- you will see a copy of the invoice once your registration is complete, as well as another copy when our staff confirms your registration. Tax-exempt organizations
To qualify for sales tax exemption (sales tax is ONLY applied to the Event Book Advertisement, if you select this option), you need to follow these steps:
1. Register online as normal; the invoice you view online after registering will include sales tax.
2. After registering, fax a copy of your FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate to the Career Resource Center at 352-392-5268. Please include a copy of your registration invoice.
NOTE: If the name on the certificate differs from name on the registration, please note this on BOTH forms.
3. Once the FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate has been received, your invoice will be updated to reflect your tax-exempt status.
4. The CRC will notify you when the update to your invoice has been made.
5. Pay the amount on the updated invoice.
No registration can be processed as tax-exempt without a copy of the tax-exemption certificate from the STATE OF FLORIDA.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept tax exemption certificates from other states. Any organization tax-exempt in a state other than Florida must apply with the State of Florida. This application can be found at http://www.myflorida.com/dor/forms/2003/dr5.pdf. A copy of this application can be submitted in place of the tax exemption certificate until one is obtained.
Parking
Parking at the University of Florida can be challenging. The parking garage adjacent to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center is available to recruiters for parking. Since parking is limited we STRONGLY recommend arriving for Career Showcase before 8 a.m.
You do not need a parking pass; simply have a business card available and tell parking staff on hand that you are an employer attending Career Showcase.
The CRC is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.
