Career Showcase will be held on February 3 & 4, 2015 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the O'Connell Center. This event is open to UF students & alumni only. Let the countdown begin!
Showcase is so large we need two days to pull it off. You can register for either one, or both, days depending on whether you're hiring for technical or non-technical positions.

Here we cover each day's information, registration information & amenities, payment options, event parking and shipping.
Check in for both days begins at 7:30 a.m. Be sure to check in early. Parking is extremely limited after 8 a.m. Be set up and ready to greet students by 9 a.m.
Breakfast is served until 9 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Refreshments (water, coffee and soda) are made available throughout the day.
Attend one or both days. It's up to you! Each day is designed to help you best target the students you are seeking for your full-time, internship and co-op opportunities.
Day 1 (non-technical): includes accounting, banking, consulting, government, human services, management, retail, sales and other fields without a scientific or technical focus are included in this group.
Day 2 (technical): includes computer science, construction, engineering, information systems/technology, scientific research, and other fields with a technical or scientific focus are included in this group.
You may register up until the day of the event. The pre-registration deadline is January 13th, 2015 and will guarantee inclusion in the event-day publications. This is also the last day to cancel and receive a refund.
The cost to attend Showcase is $750 per table, per day.
The non-profit rate is $550 per table, per day.
Each registration includes:
- One table (8' x 30") and two chairs
- Four representatives (up to two additional representatives may attend for an additional $50 each equaling a total of six. For additional representatives, additional table space must be purchased. A maximum of 6 representatives are permitted at each table)
- Hot breakfast and lunch for each of your representatives
- Electricity access (you supply the extension cord)
- Free Wi-Fi
- Company listing in event publication (see early-registration deadline)
- Online listing of your company & position information
You can pay via credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) or check. In the registration form, be sure to select your payment type as credit card or check.
Credit cards are not processed immediately; once our staff processes your credit card you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment.

Tax-exempt organizations: To qualify for sales tax exemption (sales tax is ONLY applied to the Event Book Advertisement), follow these steps:
1. Register online as normal; the invoice you view online after registering will include sales tax.
2. After registering, fax a copy of your FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate to the Career Resource Center at 352-392-5268. Include a copy of your invoice. If the name on the certificate differs from name on the registration, please note this on BOTH forms.
3. Once the FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate has been received, your invoice will be updated to reflect your tax-exempt status.
4. The CRC will notify you when the update to your invoice has been made.
5. Pay the amount on the updated invoice.
No registration can be processed as tax-exempt without a copy of the tax-exemption certificate from the STATE OF FLORIDA. Unfortunately, we cannot accept tax exemption certificates from other states. Any organization tax-exempt in a state other than Florida must apply with the State of Florida. This application can be found here. A copy of this application can be submitted in place of the tax exemption certificate until one is obtained.
Parking at UF can be challenging. The parking garage adjacent to the Stephen C. O’Connell Center is available to recruiters for parking on both days of Career Showcase. Be sure to arrive at the event before 8 a.m. You will need a parking pass; this pass should be emailed to you in the days prior to the event to display in your dashboard. You will also need to park in the areas designated by the facility staff. If you do not bring a parking pass, simply have a business card available and tell parking staff you are attending Career Showcase.
The CRC is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.
Rather than carrying your materials with you, ship them to us. You can ship materials starting two weeks prior to fall semester's event and one week prior to spring's event. Materials received on the day(s) of the event will not be immediately available.
Do not mail materials for Career Showcase to the CRC office. Please label all items as listed below and mail them to the address as follows to help ensure your materials are delivered and sorted correctly:

Don't forget to bring tracking number(s). In case your packages are not at your booth, we will need your number to locate your items.
Shipping from Showcase:
The CRC provides limited resources to ship your items back to your office. Be sure to label your items correctly and bring the necessary account numbers. There will be pickup locations at the career fair for all the major package carriers, including FedEx, DHL and UPS. Shipping forms and packing supplies are very limited.

January 13th, 2015, is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Career Resource Center (CRC). Please contact Career Events Staff at CRCFairs@crc.ufl.edu to cancel your registration.
No cancellations will be accepted after the deadline. Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will still be charged for the event. Outstanding bills from previous events will prevent employers the use of other CRC services in the future.
Organizations that do not check in by 11 a.m. on the day of the event will be considered a "no show." Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will result in a charge for the event regardless if payment has been received by the CRC.
Display space at Career Showcase is limited. Total floor space available per table is 9-10 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Please do not plan to bring furniture, large equipment or excessive amounts of give-away items. If you bring items that require more space than you reserved, you will be charged for additional tables.
Additionally, each organization is permitted four (4) representatives per table with up to two (2) additional representatives in excess of the per table total of six (6), for an additional charge. If your organization has more than this limit, you will be charged for an additional table, regardless of whether you actually use the additional table during the event.
You are about to fill out the registration form. Before you register, here are a few items to consider.
- Do not use your browsers "Back" button. If you miss a required field, the form will notify you and give you the chance to fill them in.
- You must complete all required items. These have a * next to each question.
- If your invoice is not displayed after entering and confirming your information, your registration is not complete. Be sure you did not miss any required fields. If you still experience problems after checking for missed items, then contact our office at 352-273-2331.
- If you complete the registration and view your invoice, but do not receive the confirmation email from our office within 2 business days, contact our office at 352-273-2331 to check on your registration.
In addition, you will be given the opportunity to enter the opportunities you will be recruiting for at Career Showcase. This is a great way to attract potential candidates to your booth and provide them with necessary information about your opportunities.
There are also opportunities to hold interviews immediately after Career Showcase and later on in the semester. Once you are in the registration form, you will have the option to select on-campus interview space for the days following Career Showcase.
