Information Sessions

Information sessions are a great way to promote your organization's opportunities, history, culture, structure and employee benefits in order to engage current or future applicants.

Types of information sessions

Information sessions can be a formal presentation or an informal open house conducted on campus or virtually, they are typically scheduled between 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday. You can determine how you set up the event.

If you are interested in hosting an information session, make your request early.

To request information session(s) dates:
  • Log into Gator CareerLink at the top right of this page
  • Click on "Events" and select the "Information Sessions" tab
  • Click on "Add New" to fill out the request

You will be contacted when your request has been approved. Please wait to book your flights or hotel accommodations until you have received the final confirmation from our office.

No matter the size of the event, we have space to accommodate most types of Information Sessions.

Space can be difficult to secure, especially during peak recruiting times around our major career fairs.

Requests for rooms in academic classrooms and specialty areas prior to the upcoming semester can incur longer wait times. These areas are first reserved for classes, student organizations, and other academic uses. Typically, we can request your room two to four weeks into the semester. Rooms in the Reitz Union and CRC are not subject to this delay.

Rooms in the Reitz Union vary depending on the size of the room. There are a wide range of small, medium and large meeting rooms to several large ballrooms. Prices start at $50 for a room and increase based on the equipment and size of the room. The Reitz Union will contact you concerning room confirmation and billing information.

Our facility (CRC) has three available spaces:

  • Library: $150 (capacity 120)
  • Classroom: $100 (capacity 45)
  • Conference Room: $50 (capacity 25)

Rooms in the CRC come set up with a projector, screen, computer, DVD Player and amplified computer sound. We will also have staff present to assist with your event.

Academic Classrooms do not incur a charge. However, these spaces are often unavailable for advanced booking and during key recruiting periods. Furthermore, staff members are not able to assist with the information session. Technical equipment is not guaranteed or provided for academic classrooms.

Information session tips

  • When requesting your information session, the "Information Session Details" field is viewable to candidates. This is a great place to enter a description of your event.
  • Provide any details of the event, especially information pertaining to expectations. Answer the question "why should someone attend this event?"
  • This information can help us better promote your event.
