Mentoring Opportunities

Gator Launch is a mentoring and education program for underrepresented second- and third-year UF students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math ("STEM").

Overview

As a mentor, you will be matched up with a student who has career interests that match your field, giving you the opportunity to educate and engage students in STEM fields. Many past mentors have enjoyed sharing industry knowledge with future professionals. In addition, participating in this program further helps to promote your organization's diversity initiatives.

Your time commitment is 1-2 hours in meetings with your student every other month and four hours of student shadowing.

Underrepresented

We define the term underrepresented broadly, to include gender, economic status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and any other identities that are not well represented in STEM fields.
