Sustainability Efforts

The University of Florida is committed to facing sustainability challenges without compromising future generations of UF students, faculty and staff. Individuals and departments throughout campus have adopted environmentally friendly practices, and the Career Resource Center is no exception. We have committed to:

• Encourage students and employers to return Employer Directories to be reused after each day of Career Showcase.
• Place several recycling receptacles at high-traffic locations at career fairs for the disposal of paper products and plastic bottles.
• Use biodegradable and paper products during lunch.
• Purchase light-weight Aquafina bottles which contain 10 percent post-consumer material.
• Reduce the amount of paper products and printed materials.

We welcome you to our campus and ask that you join us in being conscientious of how our actions impact the environment by:

• Using hotel shuttle services to and from campus.
• Carpooling with colleagues.
• Ordering eco-friendly, practical giveaways.
• Shipping conservative amounts of materials for the event.
• Bringing/using reusable water bottles.

We appreciate you helping us “go green,” and look forward to seeing you at future events hosted by the Career Resource Center. Thank you for choosing the University of Florida for your recruiting needs. Find additional information about the university-wide effort at our Office of Sustainability.
