Professional development is critical for your students to be competitive. We offer workshops to provide them with those key skills employers require in a candidate.

We explore students' career options and provide resources to help them search for a career they can be passionate about. Each workshop will help students think differently about the careers and move past simply thinking about "majors."
Grad Student Series:
This series consists of several workshops to help move students from the academic-focused career, to other areas outside of academia. This series includes a panel of Ph.Ds who are currently working in industry.
Grad Student Series:
For students interested in working in academia, this series explores career options and provides resources to them with their career search. We will explore a variety of topics, such as resumes, cover letters and interviews, to help them become a better candidate.
Employment Visas & Immigration
Immigration attorneys discuss information about OPT rules, how that may help students secure a work visa and the variety of options after OPT.
Local Government Panel
Students can learn more about local and state government. With City Commissioners, the County Manager, and others as panelists they will hear about a variety of things that go on behind the scenes. They can also ask questions about future job opportunities and involvement in the government sector.
Many students have been told that the best way to "get your foot in the door" is through professional networking, but may not be sure what that really means or how to start. We offer networking panels to help students connect with alumni, companies and contacts from specific industries.
Have students who want to make a difference and get paid too? They can hear from people in different levels of the non-profit field, from interns to directors. We host representatives from a range of positions to speak about their experiences.
Public Service Panel
Have students who want to help others? They can join public service representatives in discussing different nationwide service organizations such as Peace Corps, Teach for America, City Year, and more. They can also learn how to get involved after graduation and how to start preparing now.
Our pre-Showcase workshops include Career Fair Bootcamp, Job Search Employer Panel, Last-Minute Career Planning and employer resume critiquing. These events will help students prepare.
Certified Gator Professional
