Volunteer to Help UF students! UF students need insight and career information from professionals who are working in their career fields of interest. That’s where we could use your help! No matter what your industry or organization, students can benefit from your expertise. Please consider the following areas in which you could help your student and his/her peers achieve career success. Your assistance is what keeps the Gator community strong. We welcome you aboard!
Career Connections - Career Connections is a way for professionals to share advice about career options through informational interviews. Sign up to answer students' questions about your job search and career. This has been a valuable resource that students ask about every day!
Gator Launch - As a mentor in Gator Launch, you can provide career development and personal guidance that contributes to the overall success of minority students at UF. Be an integral component of a student's journey of self-discovery, while introducing strategies of career success.
Internships & Co-ops - Connect with students, increase your company or organization's visibility and identify potential job candidates through participation in the UF Internship or Co-op Programs. These career-related work experience programs benefit you and the student.
Externships – Invite a student to shadow you at work and give them a glimpse of life after graduation. You can volunteer to host an extern, which will provide an opportunity for students to gain first-hand knowledge about an industry in which they are interested.
Recruit UF Students and Alumni - If you are looking to hire a Gator, we invite you to consider recruiting at UF! You can market open positions through Gator CareerLink, information sessions, employer workshops and any of our career fairs. The University of Florida is the largest institution in the state of Florida, and is among the largest public universities in the nation. Fill open positions with a Gator!
Workshops, Critiques and Mock Interviews - These are great ways for you to increase visibility for your organization. Students want your expertise! If you are interested in doing a workshop on interviewing or resume writing, or if you would like to participate in roundtable or panel discussions about your career field, please let us know!
