Considering Graduate/Professional School

Making the decision to attend graduate school is a big one that takes time and careful planning. Application procedures and deadlines can vary by institution. Generally, students start the entire process one and one half years before they wish to enroll, which gives plenty of preparation time.

The graduate school search can be broken down as follows.

  • Institution research
  • Application and informational forms. (Take special note of deadlines.)
  • Financial aid resources
  • Registration with national application services.
  • School visits
  • Graduate Admissions Tests (GRE, LSAT, GMAT, MCAT, etc.)
  • Sending Transcripts, Letters of Recommendation, Application Essays/Personal Statements, Interviews, Portfolios, Auditions and any other requested materials.
  • Making a Decision
