Mock Interviews

We offer three mock interview services to help you prepare for professional interviews. You must have a Gator CareerLink account to use Virtual Mock , Face-to-Face, or Employer Interviews. The Mock Interview Tutorial might be helpful.

Virtual Mock Interviews

Virtual Mock Interviews, powered by InterviewStream, is a realistic simulated interviewing program that allows you to practice your interviewing skills through customer tailored interviews.All you need is a webcam and Gator CareerLink account to get started!

Face-to-Face Mock Interviews

Practice your interviewing skills with a CRC staff member. 

Benefits:

  • One-on-one interview session.
  • Immediate feedback and evaluation.
  • Can be recorded, bring your own VHS tape if you'd like to keep it.

How to Schedule:

  • Log in to Gator CareerLink (you will need a resume to create a GCL account).
  • Click on “My Jobs” and select “Gator CareerLink Job Database.”
  • Change the “Position Type” to “Mock Interview.”
  • Choose your preferred date for your mock interview.
  • Select your resume and a time to interview, then press the “Submit” button (if there are no times listed for that date, you will be put on a waiting list).

Note:

  • You can sign up for interviews up to two weeks in advance
  • If you have any questions about Face-to-Face mock interviews, e-mail LennetteReshard@crc.ufl.edu or call 352-273-2327.

Remember to:

  • Bring a copy of your resume to the interview.
  • Wear professional attire. (Encouraged but not mandatory)
  • Show up a few minutes early.

To cancel or reschedule:

  • Log into Gator CareerLink.
  • Click on “Interviews.”
  • Click on the “Scheduled Interviews” tab.
  • Click either “Cancel” or “Reschedule.”
  • If you fail to show for your scheduled mock interview, or cancel without giving the CRC staff at least 48 hours notice, you will be blocked from using Gator CareerLink and scheduling future interviews with recruiters. In order to cancel your scheduled mock interview, please call 352-273-2327.

*Cancellations will not be accepted if made within 48 hours of the scheduled mock interview.

Employer Mock Interviews

Practice your interview skills with actual recruiters in an Employer Mock Interview. Invitations to schedule Employer Mock Interviews are sent through Gator CareerLink as employers volunteer their time.
