I oversee 24 full-time professionals and provide oversight for a centralized center serving approximately 50,000 students. I have 15 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education and student affairs, including career services and residential education. I completed my Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, Master’s degree in Counselor Education, and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I enjoy spending time and traveling when possible with my husband, Les, and my daughters, Brantley and Hayden.

I lead the Employer Relations and Business Administration areas which entails managing college recruitment, employer development and the center’s business operations activities for students, campus partners and employers alike. I also serve as the chief administrative and financial officer where I’m responsible for the management and operation of all administrative, personnel, fiscal, technology and facilities management activities, as well as special projects associated with the Center. I’m proud to be a two-time Gator alumnus with a B.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism and a M.S in Management. In my down time I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and volunteering in the community with the Gainesville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling the country, fishing, and attending concerts.

I am responsible for managing the brand standards and communications projects for the Center. This includes overseeing the efforts in the digital space, social and website, and marketing initiatives for CRC projects. When I’m not in the office, you can find me at a high school track, watching my daughter compete; on a plane, jet setting off to somewhere new; or on the corner of my sofa, curled up reading a good book!

I have the privilege of helping students find satisfying jobs and career paths. I coordinate the efforts of a team of superstars who help students identify their passions and teach skills they need to be competitive candidates. Together, we connect students to professional mentors, alumni, teach them how to get into different industries, and find internships or other experiences they could have to prepare them for success after graduation.

When I’m not at work, turn up the music and laugh with me as I enjoy my beautiful family, amazing friends and worship the Lord.

I provide vision and support for the Career and Professional Development team, including coordinating our Career Planning and career coaching services. Our team’s goal is to empower students to see their potential in all stages of planning for their careers. I work to provide structure and best practices to help students learn more about what makes them unique- including understanding strengths, skills, and interests. When I am not at work, you can find me playing outside with my dog, checking out new local restaurants, doing yoga, or spending time with my family and friends.

I am the embedded liaison to the College of Journalism and Communications. I collaborate with the Knight Division, faculty and staff of the College to support holistic career development through industry education infused career planning appointments and outreach. I also develop and maintain relationships with employers who hire individuals with the skills and competencies students in the J-School achieve through their immersive experiences. Outside of work, I am a dog mom, powerlifter, adventure-seeker, and foodie.

I support the College of Veterinary Medicine as the embedded liaison role within the Career Resource Center. I work with faculty and staff from the college to help support their students’ career development through career planning appointments, express drop-ins, and providing support through developing experiential and employment opportunities. I enjoy spending time outside of my position exploring the outdoors with my dog, and following sports.

I work on our Employer Development team outreaching and developing relationships with employers who are interested in recruiting students/alumni from the University of Florida. I manage our Gators Hiring Gators initiative, where I will work with the Gator Nation (Gator Clubs, families, friends and faculty/staff) to assist in developing new employment opportunities for our students and alumni. I develop relationships with employers in hopes that they will ultimately hire University of Florida students. I have a significant embedded liaison role with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) as well. I work with faculty and staff from CALS to help support their students’ career development through career planning appointments. I also try to convince pertinent employers to hire CALS students. My hobbies include eating, sleeping, cooking, and running.

I work with the Recruitment Services team to maintain relationships with existing companies by providing them with customized recruitment tools and on-going education to identify potential UF students and alumni. I also directly manage the UF CRC’s Gator CareerLink (GCL) database and research new trends on how employers can establish their brand on-campus. Things I love include church, family, my culture, traveling, baking, crafts and spending time with friends!

I help oversee the office daily operations, inventory, maintenance request and office supplies. I also assist with the new hiring process, which includes facilitating the new hire check list, verifying references and organizing CRC welcome breakfast. In addition to co-supervising the Career Ambassadors, I organize bi-weekly staff meetings, oversee the library to ensure that company information, handouts and books are kept current. As assigned, I assist Heather White with her calendar and appointments. I enjoy spiritual activities, meditation, walking and spending quality time with family and friends.
