The Career Resource Center and the UF Graduate School are collaborating to bring you Graduate Education Week. During this week, there will be two fairs over the course of two days; On Day 1, the CRC will be hosting the Beyond the Swamp Fair and on Day 2, the Graduate School will be hosting Gator Graduate Programs Fair. This week is a wonderful opportunity to share your graduate and professional school program(s) with University of Florida students.

Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. We recommend that you check-in early as parking is limited.

For The Graduate Education Week – Beyond the Swamp Fair, August 31st is the “Early Registration Deadline” and September 27th is the “Cancellation Deadline”. On September 1st the fee will increase to $250 and on September 27th it will increase to $275.

Register for Beyond The Swamp Fair in Gator CareerLink. We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) or checks. In the registration form, be sure to select your payment type as credit card or check.

Credit cards are not processed immediately; you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment once our staff processes your credit card.

Make checks payable to “Univ. of Florida Career Resource Center ” (TAX ID# 59-6002052). Include a printed copy of your invoice and check payment to:

To qualify for sales tax exemption, follow these steps:

  1. Register online as outlined above; the invoice you view online after registering will include sales tax.
  2. After registering, fax a copy of your FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate to the Career Resource Center at 352-392-5268. Include a copy of your invoice. If the name on the certificate differs from name on the registration, please note this on BOTH forms.
  3. Once the FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate has been received, your invoice will be updated to reflect your tax-exempt status.
  4. The CRC will notify you when the update to your invoice has been made.
    Pay the amount on the updated invoice.

No registration can be processed as tax-exempt without a copy of the tax-exemption certificate from the STATE OF FLORIDA. Unfortunately, we cannot accept tax exemption certificates from other states. Any tax-exempt organization in a state other than Florida must apply with the State of Florida. This application can be found here. A copy of this application can be submitted in place of the tax exemption certificate until one is obtained.

September 27th, 2017 is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Career Resource Center (CRC). Please contact the Career Events staff at CRCFairs@crc.ufl.edu to cancel your registration.

No cancellations will be accepted after the deadline. Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will still be charged for the event. Outstanding bills from previous events will prevent employers the use of other CRC services in the future.

The Day Of

7:30 a.m. – Check in and table set up | Reitz Union Grand Ballroom
We will provide you with a complimentary lunch meal voucher to use at a dining location in the Reitz Union.
You will receive one parking pass via email in the days prior to the event to display in your vehicle’s dashboard. The parking pass is valid for the UF Welcome Center’s parking garage. You will be required and expected to park in the areas designated by the facility staff.

Parking on campus can be challenging. We recommend you arrive at the facility before 8 a.m. to avoid campus traffic and to confirm an appropriate space.

The Career Resource Center is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.

Policies

Organizations that do not check in by 11 a.m. on the day of the event will be considered a “no show.” Registered organizations that fail to show up at the event will result in a charge for the event regardless if payment has been received by the Career Resource Center.
September 17th, 2017 is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.

Display space at the Graduate and Professional Schools Fair is limited. Total floor space available per table is 7-9 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Please do not plan to bring furniture, large equipment or excessive amounts of give-away items. If you bring items that require more space than you reserved, you will be charged for additional tables.

Additionally, each organization is permitted three (3) representatives per table with up to one additional representative in excess of the per table total of four (4), for an additional charge. If your organization has more than this limit, you will be charged for an additional table, regardless of whether you actually use the additional table during the event.

Shipping

Rather than carry your materials with you, ship them to us. You can ship materials starting one week prior to the event. Materials received on the day(s) of the event will not be immediately available.
