Your organization needs a solid team to grow. Come out and network with entrepreneurially-minded students and alumni representing technical and non-technical backgrounds, who are pursuing full-time, part time, and internship opportunities within the entrepreneurial world. Whether you are looking to hire your first intern or staff to be a part of your growing team, this event is for you. This event makes it easier for startups to get connected with University of Florida talent. The UF Career Resource Center is in partnership the UF Entrepreneurship Club to host this career fair.

This outdoor career event is open to local, state, and national employers. Please note this event is best suited for organizations in their startup phases of development. The CRC is defining that as the organization being in operation for five years or less and have 80 or fewer employees.

Registration and Payment

You may register up until the day of the event. The cancellation deadline is TBD and will guarantee inclusion in the event-day publications. TBD is also the last day to cancel and receive a refund. The cost to attend Start Up Job and Internship Fair is $25.00 per table. Please check the pricing table for registration inclusions.

Registration is done in Gator CareerLink. We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) or checks. In the registration form, be sure to select your payment type as credit card or check.

Credit cards are not processed immediately; once our staff processes your credit card you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment.

Make checks payable to “Univ. of Florida Career Resource Center ” (TAX ID# 59-6002052). Include a printed copy of your invoice and check payment to:

To qualify for sales tax exemption, follow these steps:

  1. Register online as outlined above; the invoice you view online after registering will include sales tax.
  2. After registering, fax a copy of your FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate to the Career Resource Center at 352-392-5268. Include a copy of your invoice. If the name on the certificate differs from name on the registration, please note this on BOTH forms.
  3. Once the FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate has been received, your invoice will be updated to reflect your tax-exempt status.
  4. The CRC will notify you when the update to your invoice has been made.
    Pay the amount on the updated invoice.

No registration can be processed as tax-exempt without a copy of the tax-exemption certificate from the STATE OF FLORIDA. Unfortunately, we cannot accept tax exemption certificates from other states. Any tax-exempt organization in a state other than Florida must apply with the State of Florida. This application can be found here. A copy of this application can be submitted in place of the tax exemption certificate until one is obtained.

TBD is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Career Resource Center (CRC). Please contact Charity Reynolds at CharityR@crc.ufl.edu to cancel your registration.

No cancellations will be accepted after the deadline. Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will still be charged for the event. Outstanding bills from previous events will prevent employers the use of other CRC services in the future.

The Day Of

Check-In for the Startup Job & Internship Fair will begin at 12:00 pm. Please stop by the check-in table upon your arrival to the Reitz Union North Entrance space.
We do not provide lunch; however complimentary water will be available.
You will receive one parking pass via email in the days prior to the event to display in your vehicle’s dashboard. The parking pass is valid for the UF Welcome Center’s parking garage. You will be required and expected to park in the areas designated by the facility staff.

Parking on campus can be challenging. We recommend you arrive at the facility before 1:30 p.m. to avoid campus traffic and to confirm an appropriate space.

The Career Resource Center is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.

Policies

Organizations that do not check in by 2 p.m. on the day of the event will be considered a “no show.” Registered organizations that fail to show up at the event will result in a charge for the event regardless if payment has been received by the Career Resource Center.

Display space at the Start Up Job and Internship Fair is limited. Total floor space available per table is 7-9 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Please do not plan to bring furniture, large equipment or excessive amounts of give-away items. If you bring items that require more space than you reserved, you will be charged for additional tables.

Additionally, each organization is permitted three (3) representatives per table with up to one (1) additional representative in excess of the per table total of four (4), for an additional charge. If your organization has more than this limit, you will be charged for an additional table, regardless of whether you actually use the additional table during the event.

Post Career Events

If you are interested in hosting campus or virtual interviews after the fair on campus, you have the option to reserve following the Startup Job and Internship Fair.
